This discussion has moved beyond the point of being productive, so I'm closing it off. Also, Ed Ward was repeatedly asked to provide evidence for some of his unfounded claims, but he was unable to do so. Therefore, in keeping with my comment policy, his comment privileges are hereby suspended. This might be just a brief suspension. We need to see how everybody behaves during this cooldown period.

Also, seriously. Why are Christians so obsessed with the implement of torture that their man-god “died” on (what an incredible sacrifice it must be to die when you are a god that can’t, you know, actually die)? I mean it’s not uncommon for Christians to call the cross beautiful. Sorry, but torture devices are not beautiful to me.

I remember a Chick tract that went against the cross for claims that it was idol worship.Fucking retarded. So there are Christians that oppose the crucifix, but for the wrong reasons and not that it was one of the most horrible execution methods of it's time.Seriously.Ughhh.

Lol the laminin thing I've seen before. As if a human artistic model of a chemical is in any way close to looking like the real thing. Basically any molecule with four "arms" can be drawn that way, if you wanted. The molecule won't care. Additionally, if the standard way to drew molecules was a little different, we could draw laminin in the shape of a swastika. So is the god of the Jews an anti-semite? lol. Fundies are funny.

Really? So are the mutations that NS “chooses between” planned … directed … just what are they

They're not planned. They're not directed. They are genetic changes in response to an organism's environment, and or any improvements that could increase the rate of survival.Natural Selection "chooses" what guarantees survival.

Ed - You do not know what the word random means even, apparently, but let's put this in very simple terms for your very simple mind.

Mutations are random.

Evolution is not.

Can you understand the difference? Probably not. But that's okay. I don't expect you to.

Seriously, Ed, can you think? Theism REQUIRES a deity.

Right. My mistake. Your cohort asked for a reference for my claim that Evolution is not falsifiable or predictive. I sent it. But because it didn’t cover every possible topic related to Evolution and every possible contingency within every possible idiotic scenario YOU can think of, it’s illegitimate

That's because we tore it apart. It used Creationist claims that evolution is random and unobservable to prove it's point.

Evidence for ID would be like a “Made in Heaven” sticker on the bottom of an aomeba.

Sadly, some people kind of think that already.
http://www.snopes.com/glurge/laminin.asp

Needless to say that is just a man-made simplification, but for some people, perhaps 48% of this country, it's all they need to justify their fairy tales.

there is still no, I repeat, NO as in ZERO evidence that a deity is required to make the Big Bang happen. You may believe that, and more power to you, but you can’t call that evidence.

Seriously, can you actually READ?! I did NOT say a deity is REQUIRED to make the Big Bang happen. I said it is consistent with the theistic hypothesis. Is it really that hard for you to understand something that simple.

While we're on the subject, why don't you give me YOUR possible explanation for the cause of the Big Bang?
