THEY CAME FIRST for the Communists
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist.
THEN THEY CAME for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew.THEN THEY CAME for the trade unionists,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist.THEN THEY CAME for the teabaggers and birthers and conspiracy theorists,
and I said “Woohoo! Round those suckers up!”
Everything is falling into place. Obama signed the executive order. The troops are being pulled out of Afghanistan and Iraq at this very moment and being prepped for internal deployment. The National Guard is about to be mobilized. Millions of vaccines and microchips are ready to be injected. Commencement is imminent!
Just go to Google Maps and type in FEMA concentration camps to find out where we’re going to keep them.

If this is a joke, I’ve lost the context.

Oh no! We’ve been exposed!

That concentration camp out in Hawaii looks lonely.

Apparently, there are 40,000 Albanians in Guantanamo, who’da thought?

You know what I don’t get about conspiracy webpages? They all have the exact same layout, capitalize the exact same words, repeat the exact same stuff, and still people are buying it. Don’t they recognize a pattern?

All that power, and it still didn’t do shit after Katrina.

What is the Federal Emergency Management Agency? Simply put, it is the “secret government” [citation needed]. This agency has powers and authority that go well beyond any other agency in the nation [citation needed]. What can FEMA do? It can suspend laws [citation needed]. It can move entire populations [citation needed]. It can arrest and detain citizens without a warrant [citation needed] and can hold them without a trial [citation needed]. It can seize property [citation needed], food supplies [citation needed], and transportation systems [citation needed]. And it can even suspend the Constitution of the United States [citation needed].
Fixed.

Simply wow. I don’t know if I should laugh or cry.
If this is a joke, it’s a great one. If this is not a joke, it’s just beyond belief.
This is just so weird, that it’s of some concern to me that this might just be another one of those times that Steve got sucked in by a troll on the net.
I looked at several of the supposed camps in Ohio. The one at camp Perry is especially funny. It’s in the middle of an orchard about 5 miles from the real Camp Perry.
For the interested, here’s a link to some real info about Camp Perry.
When I was a kid living in Sandusky (about 1967? or 1968?) we (my family and I) attended some sort of family shindig/office party put on by the hospital where my dad worked.
As the link above says, it’s primary mission today is that of a training site for the Ohio National Guard.
This link gives contact information if you want to hold your wedding reception or a conference there. You can also rent RV parking sites and they have Motel accommodations.
Take my word for it: this place is no concentration camp.

For the curious, Popular Mechanics looked at these crazy claims a while ago.

Now that I’m awake and have read what I wrote last night, I can see that it doesn’t exactly say what I was thinking. Let me try again…
Starting in the second paragraph:
If this is not a joke, it’s just beyond belief that people who think this way are permitted to wander around without supervision. You know, someone to see to it that: they take their anti-psychotic drugs, don’t come into possession of sharp things, and make sure that they don’t play in traffic.
…
Take my word for it: this place is no concentration camp. If you’re looking for a great place to spend some of your hard earned money on a comfortable fun vacation: come to Ohio where we don’t have more than our share of lunatics running the state government. (Yes this last is a shot at Arizona)

What always cracks me up about these conspiracy theorists is that they believe in an all-powerful, all-competent shadow government that will stop at nothing to achieve its aims. Nothing, that is, except eliminating people that have somehow discovered the secrets of its massive plan.
April 28th, 2010 at 10:25 am
Not just that, but why do we need a shadow government any more? After eight years of the reality of Bush/Cheney, the conspiracy theorists look like they are from another era entirely.
Well, at least FEMA-is-a-concentration-camp is creative. The “truther” conspiracies were getting tiresome. ZOMG CONTROLLED DEMOLITION should automatically result in a firm strike across the face. Repeated utterances should result in mandatory electroshock therapy.

So many gullible idiots out there… Kind of makes me want to come up with my own ridiculous theory just to fuck with them.

the Boy Scout Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill, VA starts July 26, 2010, 43,000 expected. I assume the theist yard apes will check in but never check out.
