    My heart goes out, not only to these two poor kids, but also every child forced into that place by their ignorant parents. It cannot be said forcefully enough: the sooner we rid ourselves of religious belief, the better this world will be.

    I’m not quite ready to say we should destroy religious belief. We wouldn’t like it if the fundies somehow managed to destroy atheism.

    However, religion needs to be understood to have nothing to do with science, and religious people need to start showing more skepticism toward their own belief. In short, religion needs to be disgorged completely from science, much as that girl on the left is trying to do with whatever is in her butt.
