I think we should go back to the motto that was on the first Continental coinage - "Mind Your Business" There's a lesson there somewhere...

Oh, I just caught this, too.

"THEY WILL OUTLAW THE SELL OF BIBLES"
And hopefully that charming Middle English grammar too.

You mean that shit wasn't removed from the damn pennies? Oh for fuck's sake. I've been going around telling people America's in for a damn change with the fundie stuff. Secularism my sorry little ass. God, that's annoying.

.....
They did this with the new dollar coin things too.

See, I have a tremendous itch to scratch with these people. For whatever reason, as of late "IN GOD" has been cropping up where it doesn't belong or wasn't before or isn't anymore. The new Texas pledge? Why did they put "under God" into it? I mean, it's not like the old pledge was

"I pledge allegiance
to thee, Texas
and Jesus sucked"

or anything. So, instead of focusing on real problems, they change that.

It's like antibodies or something. The second there's a perceived threat (which isn't actually there) that Gawd is leaving somewhere, they instantly retaliate with MORE GOD. It doesn't counterbalance anything. So the end result can be explained thus:

Lack of God in something= -2 God Points
Same as it always was=0 (neutral/the closest to the ideal)
(Re)inserting God into something=+2 God points

What they think is going on is that 0 goes to -2, so they have to balance it back out to 0 with reinserting God. But instead of going back to 0 they reach an overall God Score of +2 points, which is too much, and the scale breaks and the natural balance is ruined.

Result: Fundie apoplexy, add +2 God Points.
And so on.

(And homophobic senators turning out to be gay, surprisingly, do not subtract anything.)

It's bad enough that these morons are obsessed with putting "God" on everything. It's even worse that they go around seeing anti-Christian conspiracies where none exist. But you'd think they'd at least fan their crazy flames with proper spelling and grammar.
