Hagee again, oh my! I really love that image, but regretfully cannot take credit for it. Alas, I found it on a Google image search for Hagee images, and believe that it was called “Hageeageddon”, or perhaps that was the article it accompanied. If anyone cannot understand why atheists speak out against religion instead of minding our own business, it is because of absolutely insane, delusional groups like this one that wants to destroy every last human being on this planet in pursuit of their fantasy. I have no doubt that if one of these end-timers made it to the White House the bombs would be dropping before the inaugural parade was over.

There are no words that can be employed when engaging these people except those of scorn and ridicule. Anyone who is dumb enough to say “But the Bible says that blah, blah, blah…”, is a person unworthy of our assumption of rationality and instead demonstrates a childish worldview that reason cannot penetrate. Groups like CUFI literally believe that Jesus will return any day with magical superpowers and that they will poof out of existence en masse and appear in Heaven, looking down on the rest of us, relishing our misery. There have been thousands of religions that have believed in patently absurd things in our history, but this must surely be not only one of the most ludicrous tenets of faith but also the most odious.

Religion is an infection of the human mind. It spreads, virus-like, from one gullible rube to another (or from one defenseless child to his defenseless child years later, like the Duggars), dulling our thinking and amplifying our more terrifying characteristics. I don’t know how best to fight this, except with knowledge of what these assholes are up to. Thanks for this site. I hope more people see it.

Thanks for the post. This is a group I’ve never really understood, and it is nice to hear more about them.
