I watched an episode – Meh. Nothing special, but nothing even remotely obscene either. Hey, you don’t like it – don’t watch. Is it really that difficult?

I read BJ’s article and I find it totally unsurprising that they ask for money at the bottom of the page. Go figure.

All of the so-called outrages are just fundraising ploys. Sometimes I wonder just how offended these people really are. Maybe it’s all just a cynical ploy to avoid having to get a real job.

I can’t stand those kind of shows. They’re too dumbed down to interest me. If there wasn’t such a stigma placed on human sexuality by religion, shows like that would be pointless.

I think this example brings up the point of what fundies really want: a complete theocracy. They can’t just control what they watch, but they want to control what we watch too. They can’t let us make our own decisions…if the fundies can’t watch it we can’t watch it too. That is why I find this bunch so frightening…there is no area of anyone’s lives that they believe they can’t or shouldn’t control, no matter how private or how mundane. They want a world full of fundbots, and any dissenters are subject to their supposed god’s punishment.

The 700 club offends me. I even wrote my local Fox affiliate telling them that it offends me and it’s also on Family so they have no need to air it. They didn’t listen. Maybe I should start a blog where I perpetually post the things for which I am offended and gain a dozen followers and affect change! Nah, that’s too draining. Instead I’ll change the channel.

I wonder how the perpetually offended make it through life. It takes a lot of energy to always be on alert for something that can offend and then to keep up the offended-ness…it tires me out just thinking about it! Imagine what BJ could get done in his life if he channeled all his offended energy into something worthwhile…like professional Curling for example.

I liked it better than I thought I would, mostly because Courtney Cox is really pretty funny, and the show didn’t have her taking herself at all seriously.

But anybody who wanted to be offended by it would have to work really, really hard.
